East of the city
Decatur sits just east of Atlanta in DeKalb County, built on a street grid that predates the car and with housing stock to match. Bungalows, craftsman houses, and small lots close to the street.
Small lots, narrow drives
This is the practical reality of almost every job here. Driveways that are one car wide and run the length of the house, detached garages at the back, and street parking that is spoken for.
A dump trailer can still work, but the spot has to be identified first. Where it does not, junk removal in a single visit solves the same problem without anything needing to stay parked.
Basements, crawl spaces, and attics
Older houses store things in places newer houses do not have. Outside basement entrances with a turn at the bottom, crawl spaces reached on your knees, and attics with a pull-down ladder and no floor.
Those are normal. They just make carrying distance, not volume, the thing that drives the quote.
Renovation work
Houses of this age get renovated continually, and construction debris removal follows. Plaster, lath, old flooring, and cabinetry come out heavy.
